Aion Skincare Hydrating Gel is a unique and versatile product. Before shaving, it can be combined with our Preshave to lengthen and enhance the moisturizing effect. During shaving, add one or two drops to your brush after soap or cream, then lather as usual on your face or in a bowl. After shaving, combine it with the nourishing balm or any moisturizing cream you have on hand. It can also be paired with an alcohol-based aftershave to combat dryness.

The secret is a combination of moisturizing ingredients called NMF, Natural Moisturizing Factor. These moisturizing ingredients attract and retain water. They are "skin-identical", meaning they are the same ingredients naturally found in the skin. The hydrating gel contains an abundance of these "skin-identical" moisturizing ingredients, the most important being Sodium PCA and Hyaluronic Acid. Saccharide Isomerate is an additional ingredient that also has a moisturizing effect. Therefore, the Hydrating Gel specifically acts on the most important factor for maintaining and restoring the health of the skin damaged during the shaving process: retaining natural moisture.
